Top 10 Batsman With Highest Strike Rate In IPL History

The shorter format of the game demands the batsman to score runs quickly. The batsman who score quickly has always make more impact in a game. Reason why the West indies players always been rated highly in the shorter format of the game.

To calculate the strike rate of batsman, you have to divide the total runs he scored by the number of deliveries he faced during an innings. In this article we will be discussing the 5 batsman who have scored runs at faster rate than others (Minimum 300 runs is the criteria).

10. Jos Buttler (England)

8. AB De Villiers (South Africa)

7. Glenn Maxwell (Australia)

At 7 we have the Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell who represented Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab and now a member of Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise. He has been retained by RCB at 11 crore.

Maxwell has many up and down in his IPL career, in last IPL he was the MVP (most valuable player) for RCB scoring 513 runs. Maxwell has scored 2018 runs at an average of 25.22 and at a massive strike rate of 151.84.

6. Hardik Pandya (India)

At 6 we have our own Kung Fu Pandya the Fast-bowling allrounder from India has been one of prominent performer for the Mumbai Indians over the past few years. But Mumbai Indians didn’t retain him ahead of IPL 2022.

According to reports, Hardik Pandya might lead Ahmedabad Based Franchise in IPL 2022. Hardik Pandya has scored 1476 runs at an average of 27.33 and at a massive strike rate of 153.91.

At number 5 we have the West Indies WK batsman Nicholas Pooran who has been part of Kings XI Punjab in the IPL.

Although he hasn’t been scored according to his potential but when he scores he scores quickly. Reason why he has been rated highly in the shorter format of the game. Nicholas Pooran has scored 606 runs in the IPL at an average of just over 22 and at a strike rate of 154.92.

1. Andrew Russell (West Indies)

No surprise about this one, you guessed it right. It’s Andrew Russell who has the highest strike rate in IPL history. Andrew Russell has played for Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.
