IPL 2022: 10 players who can win the maximum bids in the mega-auction

The IPL mega-auction all set to take place in Bengaluru on Feb 12 and 13, Confirmed by the chairman of IPL Brijesh Patel. The IPL 2022 all set to kick starts in April-2 and will end in June-3 . With two new teams there will be more matches this season, every team will play 9 home games and 9 away games. With the covid outbreak in India, BCCI planning to organise IPL in South Africa or in Sri Lanka as per reports.

With the IPL’s mega-auction will be on February 12 and February 13 at Bengaluru. There has been a lot of talk already about the mega-auction which will decide the fate of the 10 teams. Earlier the existing team’s have retained a total of 27 players and the two new teams have to submit their draft list before January 22, the two new team can take maximum 3 players (2 Indian and 1 overseas). 

If the sources has to be believed, Ahmedabad franchise owned by CVC Capitals all set to take Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Ishan Kishan as their 3 picks and Lucknow franchise owned by Goenka Group all set to take Kl Rahul, Marcus Stoinis and Ravi Bishnoi. Hardik Pandya and Kl Rahul will be leading their side respectively.

10. Jonny Bairstow (England)

The English Openers have been phenomenal in the limited over format for last few years now. He is one of the heroes of England WC-19 glory. One of the best opener currently in the white ball formats.

Jonny Bairstow has scored a total of 1038 runs in the Indian Premier League at an average of more than 41 and massive strike rate of 141. He has been very good for SRH in last few seasons. He scored 248 runs from 7 innings last season for the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise.

9. Devdutt Paddikal (India)

The Karnataka young Indian batsman have been one of the most consistent player in the domestic circuit. He made his debut in 2020 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and impressed everyone with his stroke play in the first season itself, also won the emerging player of the season.

He scored 473 runs in the 2020 season and 411 runs in 2021 season. Every franchise will keen to get him in the mega-auction.

8. Yuzvendra Chahal (India)

Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of the best spinner in the IPL history. From picking 100+ wickets for the Royal Challengers Bangalore itself tells you the story, how good he has been for the franchise in Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

The leg-spinner definitely will be in top-10 expensive list this season. The new team especially Ahmedabad might go for him as the big stadium of Ahmedabad might suit him.

7. Faf Du Plessis (South Africa)

The former South African skipper always been a prominent performer for the Chennai Super Kings. He was the second leading run scorer in the IPL just behind his opening partner Ruturaj Gaikwad who has been retained by CSK.

Faf’s experience can bring difference dimensions for any team , also a very good captaincy option. 

Faf, Scored 633 runs last season only behind Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 635 runs.

6. Trent Boult (New Zealand)

Fast-Bowler always been in High-demand in the IPL auction. With limited number of slot for overseas any team will want Trent Boult in their set-up.

Brilliant new ball bowler, gun fielder also very good death bowler. He has been very good for Mumbai Indians in last 2 seasons. He played 62 matches in IPL and picked 76 wickets at an average of 26.

5. Quinton De Kock (South Africa)

The South African WK-Batsman rated very highly in the shorter format of the game. He is one of the most destructive player in the world.

He has been very good for the Mumbai Indians in last few seasons. His numbers speaks for himself as he has scored 1700+ runs at an average of 31.33 at an strike rate of 131. Definitely he will be in plan for many teams set-up.

4. Harshal Patel (India)

Harshal Patel the skipper of Haryana had a dream IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise last season. He equalled with Dwayne Bravo’s record of most wickets in a season by a bowler in IPL history by picking 32 wickets in the last season. Also made his debut against New Zealand last year.

He will be in most of team’s wishlist, the way he performed with the ball since last year.

Harshal Patel equalled with Dwayne Bravo as most wicket in a season by a bowler in IPL.

3. Shreyas Iyer (India)

The former Delhi Capitals most likely to be in mega-auction. The Mumbai Born Shreyas always rated highly by everyone especially in middle overs, his hitting ability against spin is just unbelievable.

He parted ways with Delhi Capitals after Rishabh Pant appointed as the captain of the team. With limited quality capped middle order batsman available definitely he will be in plan for teams like RCB and SRH.

2. Mitchell Starc (Australia)

Mitchell Starc is one of the best bowler in the world. He always been a very good in all formats of the game. 

As Mitchell Starc hinted about his comeback in IPL as he didn’t play IPL from last 6 years. Last he played for RCB in 2014-2015 season.

If he will make comeback to the IPL he will be in huge demand especially the two new teams. As always fast bowler always been in huge demand in IPL

1. David Warner (Australia)

David Warner the Australian Openers is one of the best batsman in IPL. With 50 half-century in IPL he has most fifties in IPL history.

David Warner won the player of the tournament award in last T20 World Cup.

He has been one of the most consistent batsman in the IPL. The last 2 seasons he didn’t perform according to potential. After dropped from his IPL side he came back with a bang by winning the man of the tournament in the T20 World Cup 2021. 

He has scored most half-century by a batsman in the IPL. Also he took SRH to their IPL glory in 2016.
